Selby pull off major Frost coup

Chairman Ralph Pearse welcomes Danny Frost to Selby Town

Promotion-chasing Selby Town have potentially signed the final piece of the jigsaw as goal machine Danny Frost has joined from Stocksbridge Park Steels.

With his goals and promotions record he is right kind of striker needed by Christian Fox to complete the job that started three years ago.

For a club of Selby’s stature, signing Frost, who has over 300 fans to capture the adulation of, is of epic proportion.

The former Shaw Lane icon and Ossett Town perennial hero has endured an injury-hit year, but he arrives at Selby at the right time with Carl Stewart suspended. He will line up with an already mouth-watering attack in Sam Cable, Casey Stewart and Liam Flanagan – who is closing in on 100 goals for the Robins.

Frost has won promotion out of Toolstation NCEL Division One before – in 2014 with Shaw Lane when he single-handley guided them to a 2-2 draw with Knaresborough Town to win promotion.
