The future of Stocksbridge Park Steels has been secured after the arrival of a new main sponsor.

Stocksbridge were worried about the future following the loss of other sponsorship deals following the nationwide lockdown back in March.

Over £15,000 is believed to have been raised for essential building materials and grass maintenance equipment.

Now Eco-Power Environmental Ltd has signed a two-year contract to be the club’s main sponsor, putting the Steels back on a sound footing.

“We now have a solid platform to build on,” Steels commercial manager Roger Gissing said.

“We have a club and teams representing Stocksbridge to be proud of, and ambitions to have the club playing football at the highest level possible, and we look forward to working in partnership with Eco-Power Environmental Ltd.”
