Handsworth ‘are coming home’

Handsworth’s new changing rooms at Olivers’ Mount are well on their way to completion

Handsworth have been granted permission to host their Toolstation NCEL Premier Division matches at Olivers’ Mount.

The news brings Handsworth ‘home’ after eight years in exile in Worksop.

Handsworth’s Olivers’ Mount was deemed unsuitable for the NCEL in 2012 and they were subsequently demoted. The club then merged with Worksop Parramore and played at Sandy Lane while long-term solutions for a return to Sheffield were sought.

Now with the 3G laid for almost a year at Olivers’ Mount and the new changing rooms complex almost finished, the long wait is over.

The first competitive game back at Olivers’ Mount is the league clash against Athersley Rec on Wednesday 23rd September.
