Maltby Main midfielder Luke Fletcher

Luke Fletcher scored both goals against his former club Handsworth as Maltby Main came back to win 2-1 at Muglet Lane in the Premier Division.

Handsworth drew first blood in the seventh minute after being awarded a penalty. Goalkeeper Dan Morton saved Kyle Jordan’s attempt, but Bailey Hobson converted the rebound.

Fletcher responded for Maltby quite quickly by heading home at the far post from a corner from the left.

The midfielder then hit the winner midway through the second half.

Thackley staged a late comeback to win 2-1 against Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Although it could be argued that it was fully deserved. Hemsworth player/manager Luke Danville headed his side in front in the first half and that’s how it remained until Lewis Waddington equalised late-on. James Rothel then won it with five minutes to go.

Jack Bennett had given Athersley Rec a 2-1 lead against Barton Town, but unfortunately Shane Kelsey’s lost 4-2 after late goals.

Reagan Waud was Goole’s scorer in the 6-1 defeat to AFC Mansfield.
