Central-defender Josh Bucknall has made the short journey from Athersley Rec to Luke Forgione’s Worsbrough Bridge.

Forgione is radically overhauling the Bridge and has made a substantial number of the signings since being hoisted to the throne last week.

Only four of the starting line-up in Lee Morris’ final game started Worsbrough’s 3-0 smashing of Skegness Town. They were Sam Agar, Scott Batty, Kai Hancock and Jack Mawson.

Bucknall had been with Athersley for a while and he brings NCEL experience as he’s also had stints with Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Glasshoughton Welfare and Armthorpe Welfare.

Worsbrough have already signed Lewis O’Connor and Alex Hutchinson from Athersley this week.
