Biggest Influence on Football Career

My dad and his three brothers who all played for Albion Sports and had spells at other Non League clubs

Career Highlight

Ryan Basi and his brothers

Playing alongside my younger brothers Aran and Kamron for Panjab FA while qualifying for the Conifa World Cup by beating Chagos Islands.

Lowest Moment in Football

Once got tonked 9-0 in the FA vase away in County Durham and had to drive home so couldn’t even drown my sorrows on the way back

Most Memorable match

For Thackley, derby day 2-0 down at home to Eccleshill with 15 minutes to go and we came back to win 3-2.

Funniest Moment in Football

When Thackley’s assistant coach, head of youth development and director of throw in’s Nathan Priestley rocked up at training with his bright red laceless predators and his little black book of different throw ins that we should try out on the Saturday. He had spent weeks drawing out diagrams and naming the different patterns of movement. He got hammered for weeks until one actually came off and we scored from it. Now we have realised he’s a tactical genius who’s just ahead of his time.

First manager and club

Kully Sandhu at Albion Sports

Non League Debut

Came off the bench against Mansfield at home for Albion, we went to a back three to try hold on to a draw. Didn’t even touch the ball before Id given a free kick away on the edge of the box, glad he missed or I’d have probably retired.

First Red Card

In the FA Cup very first round, for Harrogate Railway. Two yellow cards for bad tackles. They were bad aswell

First goal

Stoppage time equaliser made it 2-2 for Thackley against Yorkshire Amateur (September 2018). Absolute screamer from two yards out.

What do you want to achieve in football in the future

The Conifa world cup in Macedonia got postponed in 2020 for obvious reasons. Hopefully when its re arranged myself, Aran and Kamron are all still involved in the squad. Aside from that keep playing at Thackley and look to finish as high as possible and push for trophies.

Favourite Non League Ground played at (barring your own)

Quite like Bridlington up by the seaside. Just not on a Tuesday night.
