Centre-back Danny Burns has returned to Frickley Athletic and will captain the club next season.
Burns arrives back at Westfield Lane after a spell with Stafford Rangers.
The ex-Nuneaton and Gateshead player spent time on loan at Frickley during the 2017/18 under Spencer Fearn.
Speaking to Frickley’s website, when asked about Dave Frecklington’s phone call to him, Burns said: “We were both singing from the same hymn sheet to be honest.
“We had a good chat about what we both wanted from the forthcoming season and we agreed on pretty much everything and when the opportunity came for me to be captain of the club it was an easy decision to make.”
