Their FA Cup second qualifying round ties lack razzmatazz but Handsworth and Pontefract Collieries have been handed winnable matches.

Handsworth will head south to play Halesowen Town while Craig Rouse’s Pontefract will visit North West Counties League side Squires Gate.

Both clubs are seeking to make history by reaching the third qualifying round for the first ever time.

The games are likely to be played on Saturday 18th September.

Bridlington Town will host struggling Witton Albion if they beat Atherton Collieries on Tuesday night in the first qualifying round.

Brett Agnew’s Brid drew 1-1 on Saturday.

Handsworth are riding the crest of a wave following their great start to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and their FA Cup adventure.

Handsworth’s 2-0 defeat of Coventry United on Saturday equalled their best run in the competition.

Pontefract also did the same thanks to their 3-0 win at Barnoldswick Town.
