Luke Williams the equaliser for Goole

Luke Williams denied Shane Kelsey a winning homecoming as Hemsworth Miners Welfare as he hit the equaliser for nine man Goole AFC in the 2-2 draw.

Goole spoiled the party in the sixth minute as Declan Dawson scored into the roof of his own net.

Returning Hemsworth striker Layton Swaine levelled the battle on the hour-half mark.

Highly-rated young midfielder Sam Tingle fired Hemsworth ahead in the 72nd minute.

But the lead only lasted a minute as Williams pounced – with a little help from the post.

Goole then had to play with nine men for the last 15 minutes.

Substitute Harley Wilson saw red for his challenge on Marcel Chipamaunga, and following the resulting skirmish Sam Cable received a second yellow card for his involvement.

Injury-hit Knaresborough Town were beaten 4-2 at Eccleshill United whose star man was hat-trick hero Talent Ndlovu.

Jack Carr gave Knaresborough, whose injury list contains Sean Hunter and Dom Creamer, some early hope.

But Jonny Iriving and Ndlovu put pay to that.

Calum Ward brought the scored to 3-2 at one stage but Ndlovu’s late penalty sealed the win for Eccleshill.
