Anees Younis’ hat-trick torpedoed County Senior League giants Swinton Athletic and put 2015 runners-up Nostell Miners Welfare through in the crisis-hit Senior Cup with a 3-0 win.

The former Carlton Athletic man struck a wonder goal from distance in the tenth minute to break the deadlock.

The second goal on the stroke of half-time was a big moment.

Nathan Hawkhead went on-one-on with the Swinton goalkeeper and was brought down – resulting in a red card for the stopper.

Younis swept the penalty into the net.

He then sealed his treble five minutes into the second half.

Hallam ended Swallownest’s hopes of a run in the competition as Craig Denton’s men won 4-0 at Sandygate in front of another bumper crowd of 314.

Liam Royles, Max Pemberton, Chris Wood and James Gregory scored.

Sam Ackroyd’s double rescued Parkgate who were losing at AFC Bentley until he intervened to earn them a 2-1 win.

There were two Tuesday night matches.

Maltby Main eased to a 4-1 defeat of West Yorkshire League Premier Division outfit Hall Green United.

Connor Cutts, Reggie Waud and Chandler Gibson (2) netted.

Athersley Rec won 2-1 at Harworth Colliery.
