FA Cup heroes Handsworth fell to a 4-1 defeat to Lee Elam’s red hot Eccleshill United who climbed to second place.

Russ Eagle’s Handsworth were initially on course to bounce back from the Cup defeat at Pontefract Collieries as Mitch Dunne placed them into an 11th minute.

However, Eccleshill responded before half-time through Jonny Irving.

Sam Bradley then stole the initiative for Eccleshill as he fired them ahead three minutes into the second half.

Two quick-fire goals around the 70th minute mark from Alex Laird and in-form Talent Ndlovu sealed the win for Eccleshill.
