‘Sedge handed mouth-watering Scarborough tie in Trophy

Liversedge have been handed a mouth-watering home tie with Scarborough Athletic in the FA Trophy third qualifying round.

Clayborn will be packed the occasion with NPL Division One East leaders ‘Sedge hoping to knock out Jonathan Greening’s inconsistent Scarborough.

‘Sedge booked their place in the round after winning 10-9 on penalties at Clitheroe on Saturday.

Gavin Allott had given ‘Sedge the lead in normal time but the match finished 1-1.

A remarkable win considering striker Joe Walton was in goal for the second half and shootout as Jordan Porter was sent off in the first half.

Bridlington Town scored a last minute equaliser in the pulsating 3-3 draw with Sheffield FC before winning 5-4 in the shootout.

Leon Dawson was the hero in normal time.

Danny Earl scored twice for Brid who been handed the toughest of draws in a home tie with North East giants Marske United.

Yorkshire Amateur will head to Stalybridge Celtic after their comfortable 3-0 victory at Kendal Town.

Adam Priestley and an own goal from Tom Fagan put the Ammers in control at half-time.

A rare Ryan Serrant goal was the killer third strike on the hour mark.

A Alhassane Keita double helped Pickering Town beat Ramsbottom United 2-1 at home.

Their reward is a trip to Morpeth Town.

Frickley will head to Radcliffe following the win at Prescot Cables.

The third qualifying round ties will be played on Saturday 30th October.
