Liversedge 2-1 Shildon
Gavin Allott fired leaders Liversedge back to winning ways with the decisive goal in the vital win over title rivals and North East giants Shildon.
Shildon went back up the A1 with their tails between their legs after ‘Sedge turned a deficit around to successfully bounce back from their first league defeat of the season.
Shildon were in ecstasy on the hour as David Atkinson headed them ahead from a free kick.
The response from Jonathan Rimmington’s ‘Sedge was outstanding as they equalised straightaway.
Ben Atkinson rippled the net from point blank range to draw them level.
Nine minutes later and ‘Sedge pounced to score the winner.
Stalwart Joe Walton broke clear and his shot was saved.
However, Allott was on hand to smash in the rebound.
