FC Halifax Town clinched their place in the National League play-offs thanks to the 1-0 win over Yeovil Town.

Zak Dearnley steered Tyrell Warren’s cross home with just seven minutes remaining to win all three points for Pete Wild’s side.

Guiseley are running of time in their battle to avoid the drop following the 3-0 defeat at Kidderminster Harriers.

Guiseley literally have to beat Spennymoor Town on Bank Holiday Monday and then win at Alfreton Town on the final day of the season and hope results elsewhere go their way.

That’s because second bottom AFC Telford United have a superior goals difference so one win will not be good enough.

York City closed in on a play-offs spot following the 2-0 win at Farsley Celtic who are one win from safety.

Goals from Clayton Donaldson and Lenell John-Lewis sealed the win.

Bradford (Park Avenue) and Darlington finished goal-less.
