Millington appoints Halifax assistant

New FC Halifax Town manager Chris Millington

Chris Millington has appointed his assistant manager at FC Halifax Town.

Andy Cooper will take on the role of assisting Millington who replaced new Barrow manager Pete Wild in May.

Cooper worked in Qatar for over ten years at their National Football Academy – ASPIRE until 2017.

He then spent two years with the Leeds United under 23s before becoming the assistant director of football of Punjab FC.

He held the position until 2021 when the pandemic cut his time with them short.

Since then he has acted as a consultant to professional clubs and academies in the UK and abroad.
