Horbury Town manager Darren Barnes

New kids on the blocks Horbury Town stunned fancied Rossington Main with an incredible first half display which handed them a 3-0 victory.

Considering how good Rossington were at a strong Selby Town on the opening day, the result puts Horbury’s name up there in lights and sends out a massive warning to other sides.

A long range strike from Bobby Evans in the 14th minute set the wheels in motion.

Kieran Ceesay then scored twice to put the game effectively beyond Rossington by the interval.

That’s two wins from two for Darren Barnes’ side.
