Ten man Avenue fight back to draw at Farsley

National North

Bradford (Park Avenue)

Ten man Bradford (Park Avenue) earned a point from the incident-packed 2-2 draw at local rivals Farsley Celtic.

There was drama from the start as Avenue goalkeeper George Sykes-Kenworthy saved Frank Mulhern’s seventh minute penalty.

Avenue then took the lead when Sam Fielding’s free kick was turned home by Jordan Preston.

Farsley responded quickly with Luke Parkin’s header before a second penalty allowed Mulhern to place the home side in front.

Avenue’s position then weakened further as Reece Staunton saw red following a challenge on Parkin.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Jacob Blyth equalised straight after half-time and that’s how it remained.
