Liversedge cantered back to the top of the table after mercilessly putting ELEVEN past Barton Town Old Boys without reply.

The resurgent ‘Sedge were leading 9-0 at half-time on an extraordinary night at Clayborn. The result certainly underlines the incredible progress made under Jonathan Rimmington, whose side were in very grave relegation danger last season until a late revival.

Joe Walton hit four, while Rhys Davies got a hat-trick in the huge victory. Harrison Blakey and Vaughan Redford both scored doubles.

Bridlington Town won for the second time in three days after winning 3-1 at Harrogate Railway.

Andy Norfolk, Tom Fleming and Tim Taylor were on the score-sheet for Bridlington, who had star striker Brett Agnew sent off late-on for a second bookable offence. Dan Barrett actually put Railway ahead in the tenth minute.

Ryan Farrell’s two penalties guided high-flying Thackley to victory at Retford United.
