Neil Bennett is Ossett Albion’s new goalkeeping coach
Ossett Albion have announced that one of their greatest goalkeepers and another former player have joined their coaching staff.
Neil Bennett, the Albion goalkeeper for a lot of the Eric Gilchrist glory years, and Rob Tonks will be helping Richard Tracey and his assistant Luke Potter next season.
Tonks retired from playing last month. He had a long illiuslutrial Non League career which took in spells with Albion, Ossett Town, Wakefield FC and Stocksbridge Park Steels. He finished his career at Hemsworth Miners Welfare. Tonks has also managed a Fire Service team.
Tracey told Non League Yorkshire: “I’m delighted that Benno and Tonksy are joining the set-up.
“They both have experience from their very successful playing campaign so they will both be major assets for us.”
