Curtis Woodhouse has brought back former Bridlington Town player James Bennett back to the club as a player/coach.

Bennett joins a management team that also includes former Hull City captain Ian Ashbee.

“I spoke with Curtis a couple of months ago about coming in as first team coach as it was a role he wanted filling and I’m delighted to be given the opportunity,” Bennett told Bridlington’s official website.

“I know Bridlington Town very well and already know most of the players and it’s a very strong squad. My aim as a coach is to improve and inspire the group. I can’t wait to get started.”
