Eagle takes charge of hometown club Maltby

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division

New Maltby Main manager Russ Eagle

Russ Eagle is back in football after taking charge of his hometown club Maltby Main.

The appointment ends his seven-month exile from the game which began after he parted company with Handsworth.

It also sees him return to the Muglet Lane home dugout, 20 years after he occupied it in his first spell as Maltby manager.

Eagle’s arrival quells the speculation as to the identity of the new manager of Maltby.

He replaces John Stancliffe who resigned after the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup Final on Saturday.
