Former Hemsworth Miners Welfare manager Shane Kelsey

Former Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Athersley Rec manager Shane Kelsey is back in the game after three months out.

Kelsey has joined the ambitious Central Midlands League side Dearne & District management team to work alongside manager Keelan Hall, Jimmy Ghaichem and Lee Turner.

Kelsey parted company with Hemsworth in April shortly after steering them to their remarkable great escape.

Kelsey is of course best known for his goal-laden spells with the likes of Shaw Lane, Worsbrough Bridge, Ossett Albion and Garforth Town.

Former Selby Town assistant manager Chris Dickman will not be fulfilling his role as coach and will leave the club to seek playing opportunities elsewhere.

Dearne have certainly had a busy summer so far as they have signed the likes of Nick Guest, Liam Flint, Jason Palling and Carlton Carty.
